Warp Gates

Humanity has been using Warp Gates for faster than light travel for thousands of years.
Massive stations shaped like huge rings, Warp Gates can generate 'warp bubbles' that distort gravity in a way that creates 'hyper-gravity' on one side of the bubble and 'anti-gravity' on the opposite side. This causes space to contract in one direction and expand in the other. This effect causes a small disruption in the standard four dimensions of space-time, but can often encourage the 'folds' in the fabric of the higher dimensions to 'warp' and occasionally touch. At which point a vessel can 'jump' between the folds, crossing light years in seconds.
Just like the other Gate types, Warp Gates have the severe restriction of not being able to target precise destinations.
Warp jumps are repeatable, jump in a given direction and you will end up at the same destination every time, but the destination itself is random, it is usually somewhere light years away from the source gate but rarely in the direction that the jump was instigated.
This means that all Warp jumps are one way, no Warp Gate has ever been created which jumps to a destination from which a jump straight back to the start point is possible.
